Romans 13:11 (NLT)

Another reason for right living is that you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for the coming of our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.

"Mom dad, are we there yet?"
We have all heard or said this ourselves. Wondering, "When will this trip be over?"
As children we were all excited about going somewhere, until we found out we had to sit in a car for hours. Sure in the beginning it was fun, but then it got boring as we wiggled on our seats antsy to get out and run.
We sometimes feel like that in our Christian walk, wondering how much longer before we get to heaven. We just want to leave this earth and run around in heaven, exploring all that is there.
As parents we would tell our children, "We're almost there, just a little longer."
That's the same answer we are getting from the Lord, "You are almost here, just a little while longer."
Also as we took these trips we didn't pick up hitchhikers because it was too dangerous, and there was not enough room in the car.
But in our Christian walk, we are encouraged to pickup hitchhikers, as many as will come with us.
Hitchhikers are nothing more then someone trying to get somewhere, and usually the same place you are going.
So just hang in there, we are almost there. But until we get there, stop and pick up a couple hitchhikers to take with you.
