5 Minutes a day / 5 Days a week

with God

Acts 13:27 (NLT)

The people in Jerusalem and their leaders fulfilled prophecy by condemning Jesus to death. They didn't recognize him or realize that he is the one the prophets had written about, though they hear the prophets' words read every Sabbath.

Today's devotional is kind of sad, because even today there are hundreds of thousands of people who go to church each Sunday and will die in their sins.
They will hear teaching after teaching of God's word and never believe in Jesus.

So where is the encouragement in that?
The thing is we don't know who will or wont believe. I know of a man who went to church for several years and spoke all the right church lingo down, but he was never saved.
After time he did accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior.

We just never know, there will probably be people in heaven we knew from years ago that we thought would never be there. And there may also be those who we thought would be there that never make it.

That's why it's important not to just be someone who goes to church each week and never get involved in others lives.
We are one body and each person is a part of the body.
I wonder what part of the body needs your attention?
